✔ Respect the Traditions: Hola Mohalla is a significant Sikh festival. Please be respectful of the religious and cultural practices.
✔ Follow Traffic & Parking Guidelines: Use designated parking areas and follow traffic instructions for smooth entry and exit.
✔ Keep the Festival Clean: Use the provided dustbins and maintain cleanliness in public areas.
✔ Stay Hydrated & Carry Essentials: It’s recommended to carry water bottles, sunscreen, and necessary medications for a comfortable experience.
✔ Visit Information Booths for Assistance: If you need help, visit the help desks or approach festival volunteers.
✔ Dress Modestly & Comfortably: Wear appropriate clothing, especially while visiting Gurdwaras and participating in processions.
✔ Use Public Toilets: Follow proper hygiene and use the designated public washrooms provided throughout the festival area.
✔ Be Mindful of the Crowd: The festival attracts a large number of visitors, so always stay with your group and be cautious in crowded areas.
✔ Follow Local Authorities’ Instructions: Security personnel and volunteers are there for your safety—please cooperate with them.
- Please check the website for movement plans, accommodation, key event dates, etc., and download the mobile app.
- Travel light and carry medicines if advised by the doctor.
- Be aware of facilities like hospitals, food, and emergency services.
- Know emergency contact numbers.
- Use only the bathing areas/ghats authorized by the Mela administration.
- Use toilets and urinals available.
- Use dustbins for waste disposal.
- Follow signage for wayfinding.
- Park vehicles only in designated parking spots and follow traffic rules.
- Inform the police or Mela administration if any unidentified or suspicious object is found.
- Follow the rules, regulations, and instructions given through the Public Address System or any other mode.
- Cooperate with the departments involved in organizing the Mela.
- Be attentive to your belongings and use Lost & Found Centres for lost items or persons.
- While making travel plans, include enough buffer time.

- Avoid carrying valuables, unnecessary food and clothing
- Don’t trust strangers, careful at eating at unauthorised places
- Don’t attract unnecessary conflicts by provoking peers
- Use dustbins for disposal of Waste
- Use only the Bathing areas/Ghats that are authorized by the Mela administration
- Use toilets and urinals available
- Don’t defecate in the open
- Don’t use plastic bags in the city and mela area during the hola Mohalla Mela
- Don’t be in crowded places if suffering from a contagious disease
✖ Do Not Litter: Keep the festival area clean by avoiding plastic waste and littering in public places.
✖ Avoid Bringing Prohibited Items: Weapons, alcohol, and tobacco products are strictly prohibited in and around festival grounds.

✖ Avoid Rash Driving & Honking: Drive responsibly, do not overspeed, and avoid unnecessary honking near the festival site.
✖ No Unauthorized Drones or Photography in Restricted Areas: Respect privacy and religious sanctity—seek permission before filming in Gurdwaras and processions.
✖ Do Not Push or Rush in Crowds: Stay calm and avoid overcrowding, especially during Nagar Kirtan (procession) and Gatka performances.
✖ Avoid Disrupting Religious Ceremonies: Maintain silence and respect prayers and kirtans in sacred spaces.
✖ No Vandalism or Damage to Public Property: Any damage to festival infrastructure, religious sites, or public facilities is strictly prohibited.
